Visiting this website

Server logs

When you access the website, the web server stores technically necessary information: IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser and operating system. This information is used to run the website securely and to diagnose errors. The website is hosted by a provider in Switzerland.

Visitor statistics (Matomo)

We use Matomo, which we run ourselves (track.powermedia.ch), to compile visitor statistics. Matomo is configured not to set any cookies. It records the pages visited, where the visit came from, and the browser and device type. The data is not shared with third parties.

No cookies

This website does not set any cookies, neither its own nor third-party ones, so no cookie banner is needed. Only if the security software of our hosting provider detects unusual traffic may it temporarily set a technically necessary verification cookie to fend off attacks. A helper script for smooth scrolling stores technical values about mouse-wheel movement in your browser’s local storage. These values contain no personal data and are not sent to us. You can delete them at any time in your browser settings.

Fonts and external links

All fonts are loaded from our own server, not from a third party. The website does not embed any third-party content. Links to other services (such as Google Maps or providers of AI tools) only take you there when you click them; their privacy policies then apply.

Use of YouTube API Services

PowerMedia AG operates its own YouTube channel and manages it with an internal tool, the PowerMedia Channel Tool, which uses the YouTube API Services provided by Google.

Data retention and deletion

Data retrieved through the API is stored locally only as long as needed for an evaluation and for no more than 30 days; after that it is deleted or refreshed. If access is revoked in the Google settings, we also delete the locally stored authorisation token. You can request deletion at any time at welcome@powermedia.ch.

By using the tool, the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy apply. The tool’s access can be revoked at any time on the Google account security settings page.

Terms of Use – PowerMedia Channel Tool

The PowerMedia Channel Tool is an internal tool. It may be used only by PowerMedia AG and only for its own YouTube channel; it is not sold or made available to third parties. By using the tool, users agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. The Google Privacy Policy and this privacy policy apply.

Your rights

You may request information about the personal data we hold about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Please write to welcome@powermedia.ch.
